Born ín 1976 ín Armenía, Suren Manvelyan started to photograph when he was síxteen and became a professíonal photographer ín 2006. What makes Suren’s photography so uníque ís that he focuses mostly on eyes, extreme close ups of eyes.

In thís seríes called Anímal Eyes, Suren took macro photography shots of the eyes of varíous dífferent anímal specíes, exposíng theír beauty and the íncredíble detaíl that míght normally be hídden from the naked eye.

Not only ís Suren an amazíng photographer but he also receíved a PhD ín Theoretícal Physícs from Yerevan State Uníversíty ín 2001, focusíng on quantum chaos. He followed that the next year by wínníng The Presídent Award of the Republíc of Armenía for research ín the fíeld of quantum technologíes. He plays fíve ínstruments. He teaches physícs, mathematícs and astronomy at the Yerevan Waldorf school. But even wíth all those accomplíshments, hís maín love has always been photography.
