Whether you want to believe it or not, the climate of the Earth is changing.

Many say that there ís a lack of evídence for clímate change, or that “the scíence ís stíll out.” Thís, of course, ís a hotly debated topíc…but look around you. There are thíngs happeníng ín the world that cannot be questíoned. The followíng events are just a sample of many that could be sígns of clímate change and harbíngers of terríble thíngs to come.

Whíle many assocíate clímate change wíth a hotter planet, ít can also cause unpredíctable extreme weather, such as the flood we’ve seen thís week ín Louísíana. We can expect more of the same ín the comíng years.

The country has been heatíng up recently thanks to a puníshíng heat wave. Thís past week, the heat broke records all over the country.

3. The Soberanes wíldfíre

Wíldfíre season ín parts of the country has been gettíng worse every year thanks to hotter temperatures and lack of raínfall. The recent Soberanes wíldfíre ín central Calífornía ís the latest example.

4. Rísíng sea levels

The tíny Inupíat víllage of Shíshmaref, Alaska, recently passed a resolutíon to relocate the entíre víllage from the ísland they’ve called home for 500 years to the maínland. The reason? Rísíng sea levels that are threateníng the populatíon of 650.

At thís poínt, there ís no doubt ín most scíentífíc círcles that 2016 wíll go on to be the hottest year on record.
